RCI Rochester Networking Gala - 200 Attendees, Raises $12,000 for Charity

November 3, 2012
Rochester, NY

Hosting it's first Networking Gala in Rochester, NY, Royale Class wasn't entirely certain what kind of turnout to expect.

"We just hoped for the best, and planned for the worst," said President and CEO, Lori Sottilotta. "We invited the Rochester business community to join us for an evening of fun and networking, but we're a relative unknown quantity here in Rochester. I'm thrilled with the turnout that we did receive, and I'm thankful to have started new relationships in Rochester and that Royale Class will have the opportunity to assist local businesses continue to write their own success stories."

The networking event brought in more than 200 business owners, executives and decision makers from various industries, including life sciences, defense, finance and health care. While the evening was primarily focused on business networking, Royale Class and other local area businesses put together several gift baskets to raffle, along with a number of other prizes to be given throughout the evening. The company donated all the proceeds from the evening to Camp Good Days and Special Times, raising more than $12,000 that evening.

"I'm so happy to be able to assist an organization like Camp Good Days," said Sottilotta. "It's a fantastic organization that is doing really special work right here in our own backyard, and I feel strongly that it's part of a businesses obligation to give back to the community in whatever way they can. I've been fortunate as a business owner, through a lot of hard work and sleepless nights, Royale Class is a successful business, and I enjoy giving back to the community when I can. I hope that Camp Good Days can put these funds to good use for the kids and families that they serve, and that these funds will help their core program of not charging the families of kids diagnosed with cancer to attend their camp."
