Great culture comes from the bottom up, and the top down

When it comes to staffing and recruiting, as many other lines of business for Royale Class, our clients appreciate consistent service.

This appreciation for consistent service generates additional opportunities for growth.

Our mission here at Royale Class is to serve our internal employees, consultants, contractors, clients and community. Depending on the scenario, the order in which we serve each may change – but we rarely make a decision without considering how the decision will affect all of these groups.

Because we do this often and for so many, we have to have a strong understanding of the kinds of checks we can run, and how each type can be used in making hiring decisions. For now, we’re going to limit the discussion to the most common type of background check: the criminal background check.

More than just middlemen

As we start to put 2013 behind us, I've been thinking a lot about where Royale Class has come from.

By Royale Class

Looking back at 2013, there have been many changes for Royale Class and for the Staffing Industry. 2013 has been an exciting year for us, recovering from the effects of Hurricane Sandy and the loss of offices in Brooklyn, a move of our corporate headquarters to downtown Rochester, NY - and we're already starting put plans in place for a great 2014.

As I've spent time reminiscing about where we've come from, I've realized that there have been significant changes in the staffing industry - just one of the services that Royale Class provides to businesses. Staffing is in the midst of major shifts in the way that work gets done at companies across the United States and even the globe. Recovery may mean hiring headaches

We're starting to see signs of life in the economy. The jobs outlook is improving, ever so slightly, month over month.

By Royale Class

While the economy may be getting better, hiring may not be getting easier. If the Great Recession taught us one thing, it's that business is volatile. Things change fast in business today. Sometimes over night. As such, we're seeing that companies need more flexibility in their workforce than they needed before.

If we look at the staffing industry as an economic indicator, 2014 might be a good year for growth across the board. We've seen pretty stable growth in both healthcare and IT staffing in 2013, and there's signs that those trends will continue into 2014. Technology changes, and businesses have learned that they must keep up with those changes if they want to remain competitive. On the healthcare side, we've seen many regulatory changes in the past few years, and this is having an impact on the work to be done to stay compliant with the changes.
